I’ve written quite a bit on the non-violent tactics of the Islamists. That’s the major theme of my blog. And these non-violent tactics have yet to be addressed in this conflict between the Islamists and the free non-Muslim world.
Though the war on terror as a name for this conflict is slowly being discredited, there is little to replace it. Though politicians, MSM analysts and media have agreed that we now face a fascist ideology held and promoted by what we call terrorists, they seem unable to say what the actual tactics are of those who hold that ideology beyond calling them terrorists. Thus, with their circular logic, they arrive back to square one. We must do something to end terrorism. When that happens, out marches the right and left solutions to the problem, all of which have done little to reduce that actual advance of the ideology throughout world.

America's Shame

Iwatched last night as a local TV station reported on the funeral of a soldier. It seems that the convoy of cars taking his body from the airport to the funeral home was continually cut in on and that the procession to the Cemetery was also cut in on and people made obscene gestures.
IF you were part of this you are a disgrace to your country.
These men are fighting for YOU. For your FREEDOM. This country was attacked. Visciously attacked and like it or not the Iraq war is PART of that war on terror.
I can not say what I hope happens to the thoughtless people who would do such a thing, it would violate my own sense of right and wrong. SHAME ON YOU, and SHAME ON THE MEDIA who has repeatedly over reported and over sensationalized minor incidents inflaming the Islamics and embarrassing our troops.
YOU are what is behind this sentiment. These idiots take you at your word. They do not understand that you have to sensationalize in order to get viewers and to make money.

It was reported today that Islamic Forces have withdrawn from Mogadishu and that Somali Government and Ethiopian Troops have secured the city. NOW .. here is an exchange on a discussion board about that topic..

Actually its a culture lesson and you Liberals should take note.

The Somalians and Ethiopians know that a war is about killing, and thats what theyre doing. Fighting to CRUSH the enemy...not "defeat" it..not "bring it to justice". Utterly CRUSH the enemy.

They dont have anti war protestors dominating the news and left wing slanted media outlets turning the people against their forces with a daily body count, and slanted editorials.

Dick Durbin, you accused our Soldiers at Guantanamo of being Nazis, tenders of Soviet style gulags and as bad as the regime of Pol Pot who murdered two million of his own people after your party abandoned South East Asia to the Communists. Now you want to abandon the Iraqis to the same fate. History was not a good teacher for you, was it? See Dick run!

Ted Kennedy, for days on end you held poster-sized pictures from Abu Grhaib in front of any available television camera. Al Jazeera quoted you saying that Iraq's torture chambers were open under new management. Did you see the news this week Teddy? The Islamic Nazis demonstrate real torture for you again. If you truly supported our troops, you'd show the world poster-sized pictures of that atrocity and demand the annihilation of it. Your legislation stripping support from the South Vietnamese which led to a communist victory there. You're a bloated fool bent on repeating the same historical blunder that turned freedom-seeking people over to homicidal, genocidal maniacs. To paraphrase John Murtha, all while sitting on your wide, gin-soaked rear-end in Washington.

Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Carl Levin, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Russ Feingold, Hillary Clinton, Pat Leahy, Chuck Schumer et al ad nauseam. Every time you stand in front of television cameras and broadcast to the Islamic Nazis that we went to war because our President lied. That the war is wrong and our Soldiers are torturers. That we should leave Iraq, you give the Islamic butchers - the same ones that tortured and mutilated American Soldiers - cause to think that we will run away again and all they have to do is hang on a little longer.

American News media, the New York Times particularly. Each time you publish stories about national defense secrets and our intelligence gathering methods, you become one with the sub-human pieces of camel dung that torture and mutilate the bodies of American Soldiers. You can't strike up the courage to publish cartoons, but you can help Al Qaeda destroy my country. Actually, you are more dangerous to us than Al Qaeda is. Think about that each time you face Meccato admire your Pulitzer.

You are America's axis of idiots. Your collective stupidity will destroy us. Self-serving politics and terrorist abetting news scoops are more important to you than our national security or the lives of innocent civilians and Soldiers. It bothers you that defending ourselves gets in the way of your elitist sport of politics and your ignorant editorializing. No, Commander in Chief, you don't get off the hook either. Our country has two enemies. Those who want to destroy us from the outside and those who attempt it from within. Your Soldiers are dealing with the outside force. It's your obligation to support them by confronting the axis of idiots. America must hear it from you that these people are harming our country, abetting the enemy and endangering our safety. Well up a little anger please, and channel it toward the appropriate target. You must prosecute those who leak national security secrets to the media. You must prosecute those in the media who knowingly publish those secrets. Our Soldiers need you to confront the enemy that they cannot. They need you to do it now!

Border Patrol Agents PROSECUTED for doing their job

On Feb. 17, 2005 drug smuggler Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila loaded up his van with 743 lbs of marijuana and headed for the US border where he expected to deliver his illegal cargo to waiting drug dealers in the United States. Within 48 hours, Aldrete-Davila believed his marijuana would be in the distribution pipeline and he would be back in Mexico awaiting his next drug deal. Only, that night would not be a typical run for the drug smuggler. That night, he would cross paths with a couple of US Border Patrol agent—and the encounter would change their lives forever. It would also have cause to make the American people wonder on which side of the illegal invasion of America their government stood because what happened should not transpire between a criminal who avoided arrest while smuggling a million dollar's worth of marijuana into the country and the US Department of Justice. It smells like rotten mackerel.

Border Patrol agent Jose Alonso Compean, age 28, was driving on the levee road near the Rio Grande in Fabens, Texas, some 40 miles southeast of El Paso when he spotted a suspicious van moving at high speed ahead of him, heading north. Compean called for backup. Responding to his call for help was 37-year old Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos who had arrested over 100 drug smugglers during his career with the Border Patrol. Ramos is an 8-year veteran of the US Navy, and was a former "Border Patrol Agent-of-the-year" nominee. A third, unidentified, Border Patrol agent was already chasing the van. He would avoid prosecution by agreeing to testify against Ramos and Compean. Driving the van was Aldrete-Davila.

When Aldrete-Davila reached the outskirts of Fabens, he realized he would not be able to outrun the law enforcement officers and decided to try to get his contraband back across the Mexican border in order to avoid arrest and the seizure of his million dollar cargo. Compean, who was coming upon the chase from a different direction, realized Aldrete-Davila was going to try to get back across the border. He positioned himself between the fleeing drug runner and the two agents who were in hot pursuit. Had Compean been a little bit bigger man, or had the Mexican smuggler been less powerful physically, the chase would have ended different. It would have been just another night on the border and the three Border Patrol agents would have been heralded as heroes who kept a million dollars of marijuana off of America's streets—and out of our schools.

Realizing he could not save both the contraband and himself, Aldrete-Davila abandoned his van on the levee and began running to the river—into the waiting Compean. As he neared the levee, Ramos could hear Compean shouting at the fleeing illegal to stop as he crossed one of the canals. Shots rang out changing, in the mind of Ramos, the danger level of the chase. Ramos would later testify that "...[a]t some point during the time where I'm crossing the canal, I hear shots being fired. Later, I see Compean on the ground, but I keep running after the smuggler." Through the thick dust Ramos saw Aldrete-Davila, who was turning to face him. Ramos testified that he saw what appeared to be a nickle-plated gun in his hand. Believing his life was in danger, he fired. "I shot," Ramos continued. "But I didn't think he was hit because he kept running into the brush and disappeared. Later we all watched as he jumped into a van [on the other side of the border] waiting for him. He seemed fine. It didn't look like he had been hit at all." By that time seven other Border Patrol agents—including two supervisors—were on the scene. Compean, who fired at the fleeing illegal after he was physically attacked by the man, picked up his shell casing. Ramos did not.

Louisville Dog Ordinance NONSENSE

Louisville Metro Council Passes Ordinance Unfairly Targeting Quality Breeders

While the original breed-specific ordinance before the Louisville Metro Council, which would’ve severely strictured “pitbulls” (defined as several bully and Mastiff breeds), didn’t pass, a provision in the ordinance penalizing breeders did pass. As this article in the Courier-Journal shows, a back-door mandatory spay/neuter ordinance was passed by the Louisville Metro Council yesterday. I say “back-door” mandatory spay/neuter because that’s exactly what legislating an unaltered dog license does. It forces good breeders to stop breeding and to eventually spay/neuter their dogs since they cannot afford the exorbitant licensure fees. And it’s a penalty that only responsible breeders will be forced to pay since backyard breeders will ignore and have ignored such ordinances. Worse, mandatory unaltered dog licensure violates the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment because such a measure targets all breeders for what only backyard breeders do. As such, the only breeders left will be the backyard breeders who produce what is often characterized as specimens not conforming to breed standards, thus potentially perpetuating the very problems the ordinance claims to be eradicating.

But the worst part about the original very severe Louisville ordinance and the final ordinance that passed, which was a dilute version of its original, is what went on in the shadows to get the original proposed and the final ordinance passed, and just what that portends. The original ordinance brazenly targeted other breeds of dog besides just the usual big three: American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, and Staffordshire Bull Terriers. But the ordinance which passed targeted all dog breeds for mandatory unaltered dog licensure which is tantamount to a fine on the law-abiding since again backyard breeders will not comply to the ordinance and will continue to backyard breed, as they always have, and responsible breeders will be forced to pay the penalty amount per dog to responsibly breed quality breed specimens. Hmm, I wonder who could be behind such a measure? Could it be the animal rights groups who have openly stated that their agenda is to eradicate all animal domestication (including the farm animals we rely on for food).

So when people ask me what it means when animal rights groups spend millions of dollars each year lobbying and contributing to politicians’ campaign funds, this is what it means: Lobbying special interests and political favor-trading are behind all this breed-specific legislation (BSL) and mandatory spay/neuter/microchipping. This is also what we mean when we say that BSL and mandatory spay/neuter/microchip laws are a result of shady, back-room deals which wholly negate democracy since thousands of constituents typically write their council person or state legislator and ask them NOT to pass BSL and mandatory spay/neuter/microchip laws. The animal rights lobby, and other special interest lobbies like them, have hijacked democracy with votes now going to the highest bidder, the Louisville Metro Council being only the most recent example of such policking. And as ever, favors are traded behind the scenes, yes, even on the local level, and the constituency seldom has any idea that their representatives are not representing them but rather the lobbyist who can contribute the most to their campaigns or maneuver a councilman, just as an example, into the council presidency.

Perhaps the original ordinance was meant to be unacceptably severe so that when the breed-specific section of the ordinance was taken off the table, dog fanciers would sigh with relief at their specific breeds not being targeted and would more easily accept breeding strictures. Who knows? Breeding strictures could quite possibly have been the original intent of those behind the Louisville ordinance in the first place. So here is a caveat to all those who are relieved when specific breeds are not targeted: Such an ordinance, and the mechanization by which it came about, foreshadows a further barrage of legislation that doesn’t just target one breed or even a handful of breeds, but your right to own and/or breed domestic animals at all, and indeed your right to your property and your privacy.

Donald Trump's attack on Rosie O'donnel one of my least favorite people is thrilling.
Dear Donald,
Thanks for going after the Rosie. Those of us in the Fishing and Hunting industry and I am sure Tom Selleck as well, appreciate your candor and thrilling comments about Rosie.
For those who are not aware, Rosie is an animal rights activist. She BELIEVES that animals should have the SAME rights as you and me. She holds the life of a person at the same level as that of an animal.
Tom Selleck came on her show and she attacked him without warning concerning her belief that NO ONE should own a gun. Mr. Selleck defended himself fairly well, but Rosie got personal with her attacks on him. Shameless conduct for a TV Host.
Not for Rosie though...
Like the Donals I agree.. Rosie is a disaster.

I work at home, so I tend to leave the TV on as background noise. I was listening to the VIEW today.. and well, I have to say watcing Rosie O'donnell going after the Donald was enjoyable. The hair thing Rosie was hilarious.
Now don't get me wrong, I watch the view to see how Elizabeth does each day. I am a fan of Mrs. Hasselbeck. Poor thing, always the lone conservative on the View. It has to be a really tough position. Elizabeth, YOU GO GIRL.

Yarmuth is Predictable

I hate to tell you I told you so, but the bridge in the EAST END will Never be built with Yarmuth in office. He lives in the path of the bridge and is friends with the leader of the opposition.
NOW we are hearing that building the EAST end bridge before the City Bridge will make Louisville a Parking lot.. Gee Mr. Yarmuth, if we send all that traffic around Louisville from I-64 instead of through town, and folks going to Ford and other Businesses on the EAST side of the County, will that not alleviate some of the traffic problem. HOW ABOUT we build both bridges at the same time and have a contest among the companies? First Bridge Built gets a $1 Million Dollar bonus. Works for road projects.
Lets look at the history of Mr. Yarmuth and City Projects.
Papa Johns Stadium: Said it was not needed and would be a waste of money.. do you heare that Orange Bowl Bound UofL??
Been against the east end bridge since inception of the project.
Been against the downtown arena, and the Downtown Convention Center.
